There are comparisons between contemporaries, elders and youngsters, pre-historic and novel, bright and dull and so on. There is no dearth to these comparisons. But ever thought of some offbeat comparisons? We spoke to some tele and film stars to find out if they relate to any vegetable and what characteristics they have in common…

Maninee De, the bubbly Pari of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin feels that she is a very calm person and so she symbolizes a cucumber, “I think I am so much like a cucumber. I am long, slim and cool just like a cucumber.” Opining the same point of view is also the blue eyed hunk, Jugal Hansraj who stole many hearts with his innocent acting in Mohabbatein. He feels that he resembles a cucumber because he is a very calm and composed person and does not loose his head easily.

On the other hand Narayani Shastri who played the lead in Piya Ka Ghar on Zee TV thinks she represents a chilly, “I think I resemble a chilly as I am quick tempered.” The vivacious Archana Puran Singh on the other hand has broadened her thoughts to a great level, “I think I am like a potato, and I have more than one reason for thinking so. Firstly my colour is brown like a potato, secondly I am thick skinned and besides I am also as versatile as a potato so I can be cooked, fried and even eaten raw,” giggles the actress.

The most famous vamp of small screen, Sudha Chandran who played Ramona Sikand in Kahiin Kissi Roz and is also seen in the late night soap K Street Pali Hill says that she resembled a cabbage till some time back, “I was this big fat female during my Kahiin Kissi Roz days so I feel I looked a lot like a cabbage with all that extra flab, but now I think I resemble a watermelon as my mother always told me that my face resembles a half cut watermelon.”

Tele star Deepshikha feels that she resembles a lady's finger as she loves the vegetable.
