Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: April 7: Three Agnelites have found berths in the National Table Tennis Team Selected to represent India and play at the 3rd UAE International Jr. Open Table Tennis Championship (ITTF World Junior Circuit 2006) from 11th to 14th April 2006.


Sarang Bhaway and Nachiket Galande, both students of Std XII, Bronze Medalists at the 2005 School Nationals at Jammu had won the open Nationals Gold Medal 2002 and Bronze in 2004. They were also part of the India B team for the World Hungarian Festival 2002.

Akshay Menon of Std VIII at the Fr Agnel School & Jr College, Vashi is also part of the present team. He is a gold Medalist at School Nationals (2004) at Kanpur and won a Bronze Medal at Vishakhapatnum 2005.

The Three participants are following a rigorous practice schedule together with Shruti Talnikar from St. Joseph School, New Panvel who has won the gold Medal at the School Nationals Vishakhapatnum 2005, Open nationals (2005) at Pune and New Delhi, and Silver medal at Open Nationals (2005) at Kolkatta and Pondicherry.

All the four Players are Members of the Agnels Gymkhana and are trained by the Agnel Coach Mr Suhas Chawan. As the big day draws closer, coach Mr. Suhas Chawan is confident that his team will put up a sterling performance and shine in the international competition.
