Placements offer for SIES kids, Cricket season at NIFT and more..
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: March 24: For the final year students of SIES College (of all the streams), job placements are not something to be really worried about…
A look at the college and one would find umpteenth job-offering notices, advertisements and circulars on the notice board. Not just that, Chintamani hears that just today two representatives of a placement agency by the name ‘Falcon’ made rounds at the college. The moment they spot a student, preferably the final year students, they would pounce on them to get their contact details. And guess what, they are offering good-paid jobs for renowned organizations like Zee Telefilms. What more? Anything else our graduates need? But for the others, Chintamani offers guidance… You can contact falcon placement cell on-27861308, 9819291670, 987696399 and who knows you might end up with your favourite job? It’s examination time Navi Mumbai colleges offering vanilla graduation courses are sporting a not-so-cool look these days. Reasons being, the much-dreaded examinations. The B. COM students are already burning the mid-night lamp and awaiting their last exam. The BMM and BMS examinations are exactly a month ahead, so they too are scratching their head hard… The favourite hang out of many students, these days, is their college library. Chintamani wishes all a good luck for the exams! Cricket season at NIFT The fun seems to never set at the National Institute Of Fashion Technology (NIFT) campus! Just recently, the budding fashion gurus had the inter-collegiate cultural festival, Spectrum that took the college students by storm and now they are gearing up for a cricket tournament. Though this one is not an inter-collegiate match in the true sense of the term, the event would be an interesting watch. Chintamani found out that it’s going to be an inter-NIFT tournament and all the NIFT centres across the country would meet at the Mumbai (Kharghar) centre. Chintamani is yet to find out more about the schedule of the event so stay tuned to Chintamani’s chatter! M Tech integrated students burdened The M Tech integrated students of CBD Belapur based DY Patil College are not so happy these days. A wrinkle on their forehead is soon going to become an identification factor for them! Chintamani heard an M Tech integrated student talking to another friend (who it seems is doing BCOM) about her forthcoming Mid-term exams. But what bothers her is that the college is taking up 80% of the syllabus as happens during the mid-term exams. The students undergo some grueling extra classes, it appears. But why this ‘atyachar’ on poor kids? Well, she says, “Our professors keep saying when we can teach you so much why can’t you study that much.” Chintamani is for the students’ movement, this time!
