With as many as three Navi Mumbai colleges gearing up for their ‘Technical-festivals’, the word seems to be the ‘in’ word this season! And, if you’re wondering what exactly technical fests are, seek Chintamani’s aid… These fests are an application of what the engineering students learn in their classes. “It’s a fun way to learn and apply what you’ve learnt,” says Ruhi Garg, RAIT student who’s busy preparing for IEEE 360 degrees. “IEEE 360° (Degrees) is an inter-college technical event held every year. Six colleges namely, U.M.I.T (S.N.D.T), Saboo Siddik, D.J Sanghvi, R.A.I.T, K.J. Somaiya and V.E.S.I.T are amongst the hosts and organizers of this huge event. We are participating events like breaking the Alien Code, pieces of lost code, First contact, Technical Paper Presentation and Creating Paper Presentation. The students have roped in companies like IMFS, Go 92.5, Digitechs solution, Aroona Impx, Techno point and club Mahinder to sponsor the entire event! Expect huge cash money prizes, that’s Chintamani’s tip…


'Criteria' to win

Fr.Agnel’s engineering students are all set for ‘Criteria’-techno festival, that begins tomorrow. Though there wouldn’t be any fun events, Chintamani heavily recommends Lan gaming. Well, you do have to pay for an entry but once you enter and show your prowess in gaming then no one would stop you from doing one-two-ka-four! Well, Chintamani’s not talking about double-dealing but just about making money! The winner of the Lan gaming would be awarded with cash prizes…On the spot entries are encouraged.
