Vashi2Panvel.Com : Navi Mumbai : April 18: Many people thronged the Koparkhairane railway station as bollywood star Shilpa Shetty had come in for a shoot of her upcoming movie ‘Life in a metro’. Local Shiv Sena activists and leaders took this opportunity and held demonstrations, just meters away from the actual site of shoot, against alleged kissing incident of Shilpa Shetty and hollywood star Richard Gere. The demonstrators claimed that, Shilpa Shetty was unable to ‘control’ Richard Gere’s ‘indecent’ act which provoked him to be filthy.

The Shiv Sena demonstrators also said that, “Indian culture which is regarded best in the entire world, has been defamed by the act of, now the world famous Indian personality (Shilpa Shetty). She should take responsibility for her indecent behaviour”.

Amidst all the chaos, the actress who has been in the limelight for last few months was undeterred, and went on with completing her shoot. After completion of the shoot, a press conference was arranged in which she suggested, “ these people incite you (the media) and you should not respond to that”. Also she expressed her stand on the entire issue. Another argument that she talked about was, since she was not offended by the incident in any way, why should ‘people’ be overreacting?

The demonstrations follow the chain of protests all over India, including Ujjain and Delhi.
