Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: February 23: Due to short circuit a house caught fire at Khanda colony, Panvel. Suresh Nikalje (46) was staying in a rental flat with his wife and two kids, at Sector 9, B wing, Khanda colony which caught fire on 22 nd February at around 12.40pm. Vishal was working at Kulkarni Vidhyalaya, Dadar and his wife was a nurse at Zilla Parishad dispensary. Both were not at home. Their children are studying in 10th and 12 th standard. They too were not at home. Neighbours immediately called fire brigade vans.

One van came from Kalamboli; the fire came under control after few hours of work by officers. The house was empty when the fire broke; but nearly everything in the house got burnt. More than 10 tola gold jewellery, cash and furniture were destroyed. Case is registered at Kalamboli police station and from there case will be investigated further.
