24-hr helpline for minorities
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: August 18: Following the 11/7 bomb blasts, the Maharashtra Government has decided to institute a 24-hour Helpline at the State Minorities Commission office for those who may feel victimized in the wake of the terror attacks.
The panel will soon have district-level committees all over the state. The aim of this committee would be to interact with minorities and address their grievances, if any. State Minorities Commission chairman, Naseem Siddiqui assured that the helpline would be under the charge of one IPS Officer and additional staff could provide help the complainants after checking their records. The Helpline numbers will be released once the proposal is finalised. V2P Correspondent
