Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: August 8: Interest and passion are the two factors, which influences a person in making important career decisions. These aspects are more important for anyone who is making a career in animation. Animation is the latest craze amongst the young media professionals today. Anish Nair, a BMM graduate and Kharghar resident has opted to take a course on ‘Full time advance Animation Techniques’ from Maximus Media Ltd, Andheri. He has taken this course to sharpen his skills and enter the world of creativity.
“I think presently this industry is the next booming sector other than BPOs. The job prospects in this field are wide. Right from media to motion pictures to channels, everywhere there is a demand for the animation techniques,” explains Nair. The salary in this field grows in geometric progression-a big leap every time! “The major income comes from the pre-production of Hollywood movies, various production houses like Rhythm and Hues, Maareech productions. The cost in the foreign countries is too much and so they outsource it from India,” he says. “This increases the job opportunities in the country for these professionals,” he adds. The course is divided into 6 semesters with a wide variety of subjects to learn! The various subjects like Character modeling, Rendering and texturing, Animation and Rigging, Editing help you understand wider aspects of the profession. Professional software likeAutodesk, 3DS Max Version 8, Maya Version 7, Combustion and Photoshop are taught to the studenst. The course also has a portfolio generation option, which would help the students to get placements. “The course fee structure ranges from Rs.99, 000 to Rs.1, 30,000 for a one year specialization course,” informs Anish. “The students who are interested in the field and are passionate about it should not hesitate in going for it, a prior knowledge about the technical aspects adds up in favour of the students,” he suggests. The options are numerous, the stage is set, the employers are countless, so all those techno freaks just go ahead to rock the world of animation. Smriti Mishra
