Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: July 18: Shreyas Talpade is better known as Iqbal after he shot to fame in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Iqbal as the lead role of a deaf and dumb boy. Shreyas says, “I am not really health conscious and I am not into dieting either.” He adds, “I do workout in the gym. I like to stay fit, build my stamina and be flexible.” He starts his day with a cup of tea and a heavy breakfast. “I have a heavy breakfast and I have a fruit or two before I work out,” he says. He however has a light lunch and light dinner.

His workout at the gym includes skipping, cardio, push-ups, a little iron. He says that his gym sessions are not heavy, “I am not into body building, I just want to maintain my physique.” He has mosambi juice, chickoo, banana or mango milkshakes on a regular basis. He craves for and love prawns, “I just love prawns. I can have prawns at any time of the day,” he says. He however stays away from oily, spicy and salty food. And he is one of those people who doesn’t carry his dabba to the sets. He says, “I don’t mind eating the food at the sets. At least, till now I haven’t had any problem with the sets.”

Shreyas doesn’t mind eating junk food once a week, “ Yea, I do eat junk food such as frankie, burger, and I also eat bhel and pani puri from the road. And people recognizing me if eat from the road is not an issue as people around here in Lokhandwala have known me since I was a kid.

He loves Indian cuisine and home food. His favourite restaurant where he frequently hangs around is ‘Firangi Dhaba’ at Andheri, which is also owned by a friend of his. “I like the Moghlai food there mainly chicken and mutton delicacy.” Talking about his dining experiences he says, “I once had mutton biryani at a restaurant ‘Four Seasons’ at Hyderabad and I think that’s the best food I have had till date.”

Discussing his cooking skills he says, “I can cook if I have to. And if I have to cook it will be for myself. I can cook prawns, dal, rice, eggs, chicken and aloo subzi.”
He doesn’t drink even at parties and this should definitely please his wife. He says, “No I don’t drink alcohol but instead I drink juice.”

He signs off saying that Hyatt is the ideal place for a date.
