Vashi2Panvel.com: July 3:With the unavailability of books becoming a serious concern among the students, E- education is the most sought after learning option in today’s present competitive scenario. The tutoring scenario on the whole is taking a completely different turn with this new medium of learning. Today there are many Internet browsers, who provide study material and online coaching to students pertaining to all fields. This new and innovative method of learning has helped reduce the tension among students whose books arrive quite late after the onset of any session. The students have a varied stance on this mode of learning. Some are in favour while a few are not so contented with it.

The practical demonstration of the concepts is one thing, which the students like about e-notes. “The notes which they provide have movements and effects in it which help us to understand the concept better. The topics of physics and chemistry shown by the movement of atoms and molecules makes the learning much more interesting,” says Natasha Giridhar, a X std student of J.H.Ambani School, Lodhivali who has taken an online course material from egurucool.com, one of the many learning sites.

The quick online tests also help the students to revise their basics well. “These tests help you glance through the entire chapter in few minutes and you can know where you stand and the areas which you need to improvise on,” says Roshan Saha, a X std. student of St.Joseph high school. Roshan is one of the many students who have taken online material from one of the learning portals. The parents are also quite satisfied with this new learning technique and think that it is more economical than the other tuitions. “If the student is quite sincere and can do the entire work himself by taking initiatives on his own then this is a very good alternative,” thinks Mr.Manoj Shukla, whose child is in Std. XII.

There are certain students who think that online books and coaching are not an apt substitute for regular practice. “We do not have proper guidance and have to look out for everything by ourselves,” avers Arpita Pal, a XII std student of K.V., O.N.G.C., Panvel. “There are certain chapters where you need to have personal coaching to get a deeper understanding,” she adds. The coaching classes have an all-together different attitude towards this latest trend. “This is not a proper alternative for any formal coaching because what a teacher can provide you with, no other online material can do the same,” opines Mr. Pankaj Soor, who conducts private coaching classes for chemistry.

Although the trend has its share of supporters and disbelievers the trend is still a sure hit and is great tracking system for students who want to have a regular check on their educational activities. Apart from all these varied advantages they also provide a good option for handling the shortage of books.
