Vashi2Panvel.Com road show a hit with the Vashi residents
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: June 26: Vashi2Panvel.Com had organised a road show, a community interaction programme yesterday near Vashi Railway Station at 7pm. The show received tremendous response from the residents. The programme included a Navi-Mumbai based quiz show and a few other interactive games. The residents won several exciting gift vouchers from Bikaner House, Cotton Kutir, Centre Point Hotel amongst others. The programme, though started a bit late, was a great crowd puller. Navi Mumbai based electronic and print media were also present to cover the spectacular event.
The show began with a game ‘Direct Dil Se’. It was all about being creative. The hosts gave a key-word to a participant who would then give out a word that they associate it with. The game went on until a Nerul resident Shilpi Sinha gave 16-prompt replies to the key-word ‘rain’. The next game on platter was the Navi Mumbai quiz show. Most residents proved to be a tad low on their Navi-Mumbai quotient as they could not answer simple questions like ‘How many stations are there between Vashi to Panvel?, ‘What is the destination of NMMT-24?, ‘Name two celebrities who stay in Navi Mumbai’…et al. Besides, the hosts also played ‘Bid Bid Boom’ where the participant guessed the number of coins that a given box contained. Mrs.Pradhan and Mr.Dinesh were the first two winners to make the right guesses and take goodies home. Also, there were many other participants who won in this category. Amongst all this, a game that grew most popular was ‘Chubby bunnies’. In this game, participants had to stuff their mouth with wafers and say ‘Vashi2Panvel.Com’ five times. The residents participated sportingly and the event received wild participation from youngsters. Editor of Vashi2Panvel.Com, Sushmita Sen says, “This website is an online newspaper for Navi Mumbai residents. We endeavour to bring together the Navi Mumbai community through this interaction programme. We have organised a Navi-Mumbai quiz for people to get to know more about their own city. With the new ‘comments’ section started we have received terrific response. Residents can give their comments and feedback to stories now. Another news section started this week, ‘Kissa Kursi Ka’ will bring corporators and residents face to face.” Swati Pandey
