Kanha Megh festival a hit with the residents
Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: June 15: The 17-day cultural festival ‘Kanha Megh Utsav’ that commenced on June 11 has received “quite a good response though not tremendous”. Today the events were initiated after an ‘aarti’ at 7’O clock in the evening. The forte for today is the Manipuri dance performance by Padmashree Darshana Zaveri and her dance troupe. There is also an ongoing free healing session at the venue. The food court is an added benefit for the audience.
Event coordinator Padmakar Kole says, “We are trying to rope in celebrities for the events. We hope to bring in Rani Mukherjee and Vasundhra Das in the coming days.” He further adds that the entry for the festival is free for 5 days of the week. However on Saturday and Sunday the donor passes will cost Rs.500 for 2 people. The festival is scheduled to continue till the 27th of June at the Bhagwat Dham, Parsik Hill, Nerul. Ansy Austin
