Inaugurated on January 1st and coming from the Advert Bakery in town, Front Street Cafe has managed to attract youngsters from all over Navi Mumbai. It offers a variety of breads ranging from the basic brown and white bread to the multi grain bread which is made out of seven grains and also fancy breads like the Italian herbs bread, veg puffs, croissants, soup sticks like the Lavache and chilly cheese sticks, cookies like butterscotch, chocolate, almond and others. However what’s most tempting at Front Street Cafe are the desserts. “Desserts are what sell the most and attract most of the customers to our shop”, says Mr. Kabir, manager of Front Street Café. Besides the regular black forest and chocolate truffle one can treat himself with the chefs recommended fresh fruit cakes like pineapple or strawberry or just go for the exclusive passion fruit cake. One has the option of trying the exotic mousses like chocolate, mango or the three layered kiwi mousse. Besides there are spectacular looking snowman’s made with chocolate balls and white chocolate and of course the tempting doughnuts and rum balls. If not in the mood for too many calories one can try the attractive strawberry dipped in chocolate sauce. Head chef, Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh recommends the walnut brownie for it is made differently and also the apple pie which is his personal favourite.

With Sector 17 suddenly flooded with coffee shops Front Street Cafe adds to the competition by offering not just a comfortable place to sit and good service but also a variety of youngsters love to dive on. Everything ranging from Pastas to Chinese and Sandwiches to Salads is available along with the regular coffees and mocktails. Most of their customers enjoy visiting the place for it is competitively priced garnished with warm service and a welcoming environment. “What makes this place stand apart from the rest is its variety and innovative offerings”, says Preetika Ghura, Vashi resident. Felie Bavasi another regular customer comes there often for a quick meal. “I like the sandwiches here the most”, she says.

Front Street Cafe has its bakery attached along with and makes sure that all the baking is done in a hygienic and healthy environment. Nothing is kept after its shelf-life and pastries and cakes that cross their shelf-life of 48 hours are disposed off. Cleanliness is also evident in the restobar upstairs. There are also party arrangements available here for a budget of 300-400 Rs per head. A perfect place for a relaxing evening or a mouth watering treat, Front Street Cafe is already being flooded with young Navi Mumbaiites.
