Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: February 6: Nerul Gymkhana Sports Festival 2006 has a host of bevents planned for the next few days, but today and tomorrow has been reserved for a fabulous display of some great hockey by participating schools at the Inter School Hockey Match.

Only six schools have participated in the Sports Festival--St Augustin, St Lawrence, Don Bosco from Nerul, Father Agnel from Vashi and Matunga School from Mumbai. Only two teams will be selected for Final Match to be held on 7th Feb at 10 am said the Co ordinator of Sports Association of Sports Festival Mr Sunil Pujari. This is the first time Nerul Gymkhana has organised a Hockey match.

Most of the hockey players who participated in hockey tournament took training from Nerul Gymkhana. Nerul Gymkhana had invited all Schools of New Mumbai and Mumbai. But the response has been a little poor. Said Mr Pujari, "This year they didn’t take it seriously because it’s the first time but from next year Nerul Gymkhana will give full training to all children who want to participate in Hockey Match."

The trophy and certificates will be distributed on 12th Feb.
