New plans of Deepak Fertilizer
Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: October 26: A three lakh tonne plant for Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate will be set up by Deepak Fertilizer and Petrochemicals Limited. The project will cost about Rs 400 crore.
To be set up in the Eastern part of the country, the plant will focus on the needs of the mining and construction sectors in the domestic and global markets. Ammonium Nitrate is extensively used in mining and construction sectors, which are in a strong growth phase. The plant will be completed in the next two years with an investment of debt (Rs 265 crores) and internal resources(Rs 135 crore) The company already has an Ammonium Nitrate facility with a capacity of 90,000 tonnes at Taloja in Maharashtra. Deepak Fertilizer, which is the only plant in India, manufacturing highest quality Low Density Ammonium Nitrate (LDAN) also plans to export upto 100,000 tonnes of Ammonium Nitrate annually to South-East Asia and Australia.
