St Joseph's, New Panvel, loses out to Hiranandani Foundation (Thane)
Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: October 6: The Hiranandani Foundation (Thane) registered its first win in the under-14 Div IV final of the MSSA-Add Gel inter-school football tournament. The team beat St Joseph High School (New Panvel) 1-0, at Azad Maidan.
Though the Panvel team enjoyed maximum possession they failed to convert the advantage. The star of the match for Hiranandani was Kean Lewis, who kept altering positions to generate chances. He was rewarded in the 36th minute when his team earned a free kick and he managed a goal. Later in the match, he volunteered to exchange the jersey with his goal keeper to stop a penalty. Kean, has top scored in the tournament with 22 goals. Earlier, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Vidyalay (Vikhroli) trounced arch-rivals St. Josephs (Vikhroli) 4-0 to claim third place. V2P Correspondent
