Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: October 3: Ayesha Takia has been in news, ever since she starred in a music video, about four years back. Everyone was surprised when she turned down Yash Raj banner’s, “Neal And Nikki”, where she was offered the lead role opposite Uday Chopra. Promos of the movie are now out and you can see Tanishaa (Kajol’s sister)dancing in her bare essentials. Ayesha insists that there is no bad blood between the banner and her and adds that she refused to do the film, because there were about 20 smooches in the movie. “I am not comfortable smooching on screen”, she quips.

“Who am I to have turned them down? They have churned out such amazing movies, most of which I am an ardent fan.” “But at times, a banner will not find a particular actor apt for a role, and vice versa,” she remarks philosophically. “I couldn’t see my self play the role of Nikki, so I opted out”, she adds. “I don’t want to do anything that I am not comfortable doing. I want to be proud of whatever work I am doing. Tomorrow when I have kids, I don’t want them to feel ashamed of the work I take up today,” says Ayesha guilelessly.

Ayesha is also in news for being in love and admitting it! The pretty lass is dating south Mumbai restaurateur Farhaan Azmi, and she makes no bones about it. “I am not denying that I am in love”, she squeaks, sounding like a girl very much in love. “Its very sad that people forget that celebrities are human beings too. The readers may forget the gossip written about me, when they find more interesting stuff about another actor, but at the end of the day, I am terribly hurt when I read false reports or, my private life being splashed as fodder for gossip”, she adds.

Considering that she made an entry only four years back, and has no godfathers, in the industry, her rise to the top was almost instantaneous. There is something about her, that keeps getting her all the attention, irrespective of all her movies bombing at the box office. Priety Zinta said in an interview, “I like newcomer Ayesha Takia. I think she’s got the spunk.” That coming from one of the top heroine’s, was surely not to be ignored.

Ayesha has her kitty full, as of now. She has an important role in David Dhawan’s multi starrer ‘Shaadi No.1’, Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Home Delivery’, Naseeruddin Shah’s ‘Yun Hota To Kya Hota’ and Raj Kanwar’s ‘Jaawani Deewani’.
