Chintamani's Chatter:: Pillai's College, D Y Patil and more...
Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: Sept 28 Pillai’s College of Science and Commerce probably believes that in this trendy and swanky world where collegiates ape film stars and models, the students still come to college in traditional wears. Well, that is what one can conclude with their ‘denim day’ being celebrated in the campus last week. All the students were expected to flaunt their denims in their favourite colours.
“But what’s so unusual about it? We always wear denim to college,” the students mouthed. And something on the same lines happened this Tuesday when the college celebrated ‘CD day’. It received very mild response as students did not fancy the idea of wearing CD-necklace or earrings to college. Well, seems like either the college is either trying to be too happening or the students are not really so cool! ************************************************************************************************************************ After the grand teachers’ day celebrations, the DY Patil Law College students seem to have coiled back into their shells. It’s study time for them now and the freshers are trying to put in their best for their first semester exams. The same ‘exam fever’ seems to loom around the neighbouring SIES College of Arts Science and Commerce. Chintamani Wishes all a god luck! ************************************************************************************************************************ This week saw some University Level Hand-ball action at Pillai’s College of Arts, Science and Commerce, New Panvel. And guess who walked away with the cherry? The host college its self! Both the girls and the boy team outdid the giants from Greater Bombay like Xaviers and Jaihind. Now isn’t that most unusual? The host team winning so comprehensively? Wonder if some..hmm well.. Kudos to the winners! You’ve shown that satellite city is no less than the Three cheers! ********************************************************************************************************************* Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai : Sept 28: You would think the freshers would already have gotten stale. Not so in engineering colleges for sure. The First year students will be getting their due party only in the first week of October, atleast in Pillai’s Engineering College and Bhartiya Vidyapeet Institute of Technology. Their rather lax seniors have zeroed in D-dates only after the 1st of October. With talent hunts and personality contests, hope the juniors are in for a gruelling session of short listing. Wish them luck guys! Swati Pandey and Lakshmi Subramanian
