Sweeper hit by ST bus, dies while on duty



Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: December 14: Sonabai Chavhan (60) a municipal sweeper died yesterday morning at 8.30am after being hit by a State Transport (ST) bus near the Baba Saheb Ambedkar's statue at old Panvel. The ST bus, MH 20 D 5632 was going from Mumbai to Goaghar.

The driver is in police custody as of now and as per the eye witness the driver was driving the bus in full speed. Sonabai died on the spot and her body was taken to Panvel Rural Hospital for postmortem. PSI Gargote from Old Panvel Police station will investigate the matter further.
