Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: February 5: A teenager, Sunita Shinde (19) a resident of Turbhe, set herself on fire in front of her father, Gopal Shinde (50). He rushed to save her and suffered 70 per cent burns in the process.

The girl, Sunita died on the spot. The father is being treated at the Vashi NMMC hospital. According to the police, the girl was neither studying nor working anywhere; she used to stay at home and was deeply disturbed by her father’s alcoholism. Case is registered at Turbhe police station and PSI Karpe will investigate the matter further.
