Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: January 19: It痴 been a week now that the Battle of DJ- 2007 has started. This week痴 participants include DJ Mike, DJ Devraj and DJ Vikram. The Battle of the DJs is being held at Marine Club at the Marine Centre, Vashi.

Interviews with the three DJs.

Why are you participating in this event?
DJ Mike- It is a great thing for all DJs and also I feel that through such events the people who have no idea about the career options as a DJ will know about it.

DJ Devraj- I like music and like it when people dance on it. So I知 into this event and also this profession.

DJ Vikram- I want to become one of the recognized DJ痴 and this event will give me a platform for the same, so I知 participating in it.

Why did you choose this as your career and do you feel that you have scope in it?
DJ Mike- Music is my passion and dancing is something I love a lot. DJ is a good combination of the two I feel. I have my own sound system and keep on listening to music the whole day and make changes in it.

DJ Devraj- I知 into this profession for the last 1 and half years now. Though a full time career nay take time, I feel, as music is my passion I enjoy it a lot and that痴 what matters.

DJ Vikram- I知 into the DJ ing for the last 6-7 months. Besides my college whenever I get time I experiment with music. If one can select good songs and make a good remix of it, I feel one can be a successful DJ.


Who are your role models and the best DJ?
DJ Mike- As of now I remember only DJ Suketu, he has come up with 5-6 albums and all are hits. I want to be like him.

DJ Devraj- DJ Suketu is the best.

DJ Vikram- At the national level I feel DJ Dev and international level DJ Deep Dish.


If you win the contest what will be your next move?
DJ Mike- As such not decided but of course the 1st album will be released by T series and that in itself is a great thing.

DJ Devraj- Not decided as yet.

DJ Vikram- After the album that will be made by T series if I win, I will do the course in sound engineering.


What preparations have you done for the contest?
DJ Mike- Not much preparations for this event but as this is the first DJ competition I知 attending I知 fully excited about it.

DJ Devraj- For the last few days I知 preparing for it. It is a good platform and I want to take full advantage of it.

D J Vikram- I知 attending this kind of competition for the first time I知 fully excited about it.


What are the plus points of this event?
DJ Mike- I feel this competition will give a good platform to all young DJ敗.

DJ Devraj- Good platform for all DJs in India.

DJ Vikram- More of these kinds of competitions should be held to give a stage to all young and talented DJ敗.
