Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: January 9: Recently Savitribai Phule Birth Anniversary was celebrated all over Maharashtra. In Navi Mumbai to it was celebrated with full swing in to different places on 3rd January one at Modern College and other at Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, Vashi. Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Mahila and Balkalyan Vikas Department had organised cooking and rangoli competition at Modern College.

Chief guest for this programme was Ganesh Naik. also present were Manisha Boir, Mayor Navi Mumbai; Madukar Kokate, Commissioner NMMC and Vinaya Mandavi, Chief Mahila and Balkalyan Vikas Department along with other dignitaries. Awards were distributed to winners. And for the 6th consecutive year, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College organised the programme for rewarding women in Navi Mumbai for their special contribution to the society. Here Chief guest was Vidhya Yervadekar, Chief of Symbiosis International and Manda Mahare, MLC.
