"Simplicity," says Salman, "is the answer for being cool". And Salman Khan’s version of cool is: the less the better. Lace shirts, Bandhini prints, cycling shorts, tank tops, skin-fitting vests, tight Ts, jewellery, cargo pants, three quarter trousers, cut offs -

in fact anything that would display and accentuate his bulges, of the right kind of course - is what comes to mind when the name Salman Khan is mentioned.

Khan remains a fashion icon for many. He is a man who clearly loves to dress up or dress down to nothing, as he did in London recently! Passionate about his ever-increasing wardrobe, here he lists a few things from his closet that he wouldn't want to part with.

Off camera, on one of those lazy days, what you will see him most often in is "my white shirts and blue jeans. That will never be `out' for me," he insists. According to him, a pair of denims with a crisp, white shirt or a tee is sexy.

As far as his denims are concerned, the cuts vary. His tight fitting Levis 501s is something that "I cannot do without". At the same time, he finds himself comfortable in loose, low waist denims.

And keeping true to his style, when it comes to shorts, it is cycling shorts for him. "I simply love them," he laughs. When he's not taking off his shirt on screen, he is seen in see-through shirts and skin hugging tees.

What Salman is most happy in though, are casuals. He feels restricted in formal wear, not surprising given that all those layers completely cover him. He may have danced his way in films in churidaar kurtas, but off screen he hates wearing them. What he is most comfortable in are his ganjis (vests), rubber chappals and strategically torn jeans.

He claims to be extremely possessive about his clothes and accessories, especially his spectacles and his shades. “Simplicity,” says Salman, “is the answer for being cool.” What Salman looks the best in: beautifully tailored black or beige or grey jackets, white shirts or T-shirt and blue jeans! “I love wearing bright Bandhni shirts, tailored close to my body,” he adds.
