Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: September 27: In this series ‘Kissa Kursi Ka’, we take a look at the NMMC corporators’ work, what they are delivering and if there have been any slip-ups. Here both corporators and residents come face-to-face. The next in this series is Corporator Saluja Sandeep Sutar. She is responsible for NMMC ward no.80, which covers Nerul Sectors 19, 21, 23 (Darave) and 27.

Saluja Sutar's Report Card

She is..
An active NPC worker, graduate in commerce, packed with confidence, has been working for the cause of women, by involving herself with several women welfare organisations like Utkarsh Mahil Mandal , Darave Seawoods Mahila Mandal etc. Her ward has been awarded Durga Chashak Award 2005, for by Police Dept. Zone-I, for excellent organising Durga/Navratra in the ward.

What have I done for my wards?
" In sector -27, I have organised to complete water lines, sewer lines and street lights. In sector -21, I have set up hi-mask lights at Jagat Guru Shankracharya Udyan.
I have promoted home business like papad making, embroidery work etc. amongst needy ladies of my ward, to contribute financially for their family, through various Ladies organisations."

What is pending?
"I have taken up waterline and sewege pipe work in sector-23, to be over within two months. I am setting up a school building, in sector 23. I have taken up storm water drain, ashphalting of roads in sector 23 and 27."

What are my plans?
"I have a plan to make a proper playground and sports club in sector -19, at Yashwantrao Chauhan Maidaan. I am working out a plan for a community hall and art centre in sector 23. I have also plans to build a Jogging Park with garden in sector-21. I am also taking up footpath/pavement work from Nerul station to Uran phata."

Public Opinion
Babu Mangal from Susyana Society, Sector-23, Darave said "We are facing water problem for so many days. NMMC should take up this on priority basis. We are also facing mosquito and dog nuisance problems."

Mahadik Milk vendor from sector 21 said bus "frequency for this area and around is not adequate,it has to to be improved."
