Make a spectacle of yourself, but with style
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: September 14: Gone are the days when people used to consider spectacles as a “black spot” in their concept of beauty. Today the scenario is such that there are so many designs and variety available in the market that the purchaser is most of the times confused about picking the right pair for himself. The various brands that are available in the market are always competing with one another to provide the best and unique product to their customers. Vashi2Panvel.com did some research in this area to find out what suits whom and which is the latest design in fashion.
The spectacles are now regarded as a style statement more than a necessity. The fashion angle added to this need has added a value to this range of products. “The latest design which is liked by the people is the “broad temple plastic frames”,” informs Suresh Bantu, Optometrist and Sales Manager, Payless Optics, Vashi. “These frames are available in various colours and shapes for the lenses to fit in. There is some kind of informal and casual look attached to these frames, which adds a glamour and style to the wearer,” he adds. He further informs that people who are in their teens and early years of adulthood go for these frames mostly. While the earlier popular options like, rimless frames and half frames (Supra) are also preferred by some category of people. “These designs are most suitable for any formal occasion, this brings out a serious look in the person which ensembles the event,” explicates Deepak Jain, Prakash Optics, Panvel. “The price range of these specs depends on the quality. If you are going for a branded item like Prada, Sting, Vogue etc then they cost around Rs.3000 and goes up to Rs.10, 000,” he adds. The non branded items in same designs are available in much lesser price like around Rs.500. There are certain kinds of frames which are most apposite for a particular facial shape. “The slightly curved frames are mostly suited for square faces while straight or angular frames are mostly fit for round faces,” elucidates Rahul Tiwari, Eye see optics, Kharghar. “The oblong faces should mostly go for frames which cover the central part of their face, the oval face is such that it goes well with many kinds of frames,” he avers. The brands of coloured lenses have also come with many new options to attract their customer base. “There are many new fresh look shades available in the market for a perfect evening look, the shade which is most popular nowadays is dark brown with a burgundy touch in it,” informs Suresh Bantu, Payless optics. With such numerous choices available, it is surely going to be a difficult task for the customer to fix upon one. So, what are you waiting for, get rid of your old specs and a fresh look is waiting for you… Smriti Mishra
