Now, shopping-street at Nerul!
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: September 6: Sector-40, Seawoods-Darave is rapidly emerging as a lifestyle hub. The area has been developing at such a fast pace since the last three months, that almost 20 new showrooms offering a variety of products have been opened here. The latest ones include the newly opened departmental store D-mart, Reebok factory outlet, Chill out amongst others. Besides, big-banner shopping malls will soon mushroom up here.
The newly opened Dmart, a departmental store in this area is only 3 months old but is doing brisk business. “The area is in a developing stage and a lot of people are shifting here,” says Sanjay K., sales manager of the store. “The store has been doing good business since it opened as we don’t have competitors around here. The store also presents good discount and various additional offers, which is profitable for the customers,” he opines. On asking about the customer profile and the changes in the area since the last three months, he feels, “Customers come from all the sections of the society as it is a multi product offering store. The factory outlet of Reebok has added value and class to this ‘shopping-street’. The shop offers various classy products of reebok at minimum prices as they come directly from factory. “The store is just 1-week old but we have started getting good responses from our prospective customers,” feels Deenbandhu Chaudhary, the store manager. “We finalized this area as Reebok had no factory outlet here. The area offers good scope as there are people who have shifted here from the main city for a peaceful life,” he avers. According to him, the area has a mix of people from all stratas of the society and thus they expect a good business here. The main target audience for them is college students as Navi Mumbai is also considered as the educational hub with many colleges. Apart from these, the area has a good blend of all kind of stores ranging from food outlets to interior decorators. There were also a few who opened shop a year back just in anticipation that the area will develop into a good business hub of the city. “We bought property here a year back and never thought it would develop at such a good rate,” feels Mahadev Patel, manager of Wood Inland, an interior furnishing store. “As the area has many new homes and so this offers a perfect target audience for us,” he adds.
