1 dies in an accident at Mumbai-Pune highway



Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: September 1: New Panvel Police Station has registered a fatal accident that occurred on August 30 at around 6:15pm. The victim, Pandurang Gaikwad, 54, died on the spot.

According to the Police, Gaikwad was returning home on his bike when a Mumbai-bound container hit him at Shedul phata on the Mumbai-Pune highway. Gaikwad collapsed instantly.

Police Hawaldar Anil Kakade registered the case and is now investigating it further. The body of the victim has been sent to Panvel Municipal hospital for post mortem report.
