Sri Sri Radha Madan Mandir at Parsik Hills prepares for Janmashtami
Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: Aug 12: Earlier the residents of Navi Mumbai would pack their belongings and go to stay at their relatives’ homes in Mumbai for every major festival. Why? Because Navi Mumbai did not provide opportunities for them to either dance to glory for 10 days during dasshera, or no poojas were conducted here like the ones in Mumbai. Of late things have changed drastically though. And that will be seen soon, when the Janmashtami celebrations hit Navi Mumbai. The Sri Sri Radha Madan Mandir at Parsik Hills is gearing up for this purpose. The celebrations are going to be conducted on a massive scale and the temple authorities are expecting about 10,000 devotees to show up on Janmashtami day.
“Raasleela will be conducted from 21st to 27th of this month from 6:30 p.m. onwards. Janmashtami is on the 27th of August with Janma Abhishek and Maha Arati from 12 am to 1 am. Lighting has been arranged from Chandan Nagar in West Bengal. Trucks full of the required material will arrive on 15th, and preparations will be in full swing then”, said Mr. Tejasvi Sharma, who looks after the administrative work in the temple. ![]() “A troupe of children of children will be coming here from Vrindavan to put up a few cultural programmes. The Bhagvad Gita readings, and kirtans will be taking place simultaneously”, informs the Temple InCharge Rajiv Lochan Das. Kirtans are conducted in the temple premises everyday at 7 p.m. and in between 7:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. is the pravarchan by the Gaudiya Vaisnava Acharya Srila Bhakti Swarupa Tirtha Maharaja. And on Sundays at 5 p.m. onwards. For further details contact: 9820334703, 9820389941, 30944443.
