The cheapest are the silver finish ones which have simple designs. “Although the designs are simple they look good because they go well with all kinds of colours and they are pleasing to the eye because of the simplicity,” suggests Mr. Jeetendra.

Among the ones, which are available in the market, the most famous ones are the antique looking handles and the chrome finish knobs. They are new entrants in the market and they give a subtle and a classy look to the interiors.

To enhance the beauty of the kid’s bedroom, there are also a variety of kiddy doorknobs and handles available in the market. They are available in bright colours and patterns like pinks, reds, blues and greens, and if that was not enough you even have a variety of patterns to select from like cartoons, flowers etc. These fall in the range of Rs.90 +.

These items available in the market generally are unbranded and according to the shop owners that is exactly what customers prefer. “ In hardware items there are better options available in unbranded items compared to branded items,” says another shop owner.

Apart from Rechoice, there also shops like Metal Craft, Navjeevan and Deluxe in Vashi, Sector – 17 which sport a good collection of knobs and handles.
