Vashi2Panvel.com: Navi Mumbai: July 5: “BE in Electronics is the perfect career option for youngsters who are in a dilemma as to whether to be a part of computer and IT or communications,” This is how Rahul Singh who has just completed his BE in Electronics from Pillai Institute of Information Technology (New Panvel) puts it. According to Rahul a BE in Electronics has a wider scope and a wider agenda because with this degree in hand you are open to a wider range of options, “I think it is more for people who are still to make their decision in life as to what stream they want to opt for,” opines Rahul.

For Rahul choosing Pillai Institute was not a tough decision to make because of the reputation that the college has earned for the BE in Electronics course, “I think the college has a major hand in the course being such a big hit, because the college scores full marks as far as I am concerned in both infrastructure and the laboratories that were provided to us, so I am very contended with the decision to took,” suggests Rahul. Adding to this he also mentions that the teaching faculty in the college were of great help and the students were guaranteed immense support and cooperation from the institution.”

Also, Rahul suggests that although the option is a sure draw for youngsters who are in a quandary, the course would not be much of a help for students who are completely focused about pursuing a career in computers and information technology, “ actually most of the recruitment companies that visit the college are software companies, and they are looking out more for people who have a software or a IT background, so if one is completely sure that he wants to opt for a career in software’s then it is better to play it safe and opt for a software oriented course,” suggests Rahul.

Talking about future prospects in BE Electronics, he informs us that the course gives a lot of basic knowledge about computers and is mainly for people who want to get into the automation industry, chip designing, PCB manufacturing, VLSI electronics and digital electronics.

Summing it all up Rahul says that the course has helped him incalculably to gain a lot of knowledge about the whole hardware setup of computers.
