Your beloved Chintamani is back!
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: June 27: Many of you might have taken me for dead…but I’m very much alive and kicking! While all of you were basking around after your SSC/HSC/ University examinations so did Chintamani think to play truant. The Colleges were not working so the summers were moving on drearily for me. So, I thought to take a break and romance with the nature. Chintamani has loads of interesting anecdotes for you. But I’ve a condition. You have to keep trickling in your bit of gossip into Chintamani’s ears and be sure to be his friend!
Recruitment for engineering students The latest Chintamani hears is that it is grueling time for the final year engineering students. It is placement time for them and many companies have already approached these colleges. In RAIT the students sported quite an apprehensive look. The college has conducted aptitude tests for its students. Those passing these tests would go through some ‘practical’ adventures and then a personal interview before being confirmed for a meaty package. Fr.Agnels is also wrapping up with its campus recruitments. Besides, many engineering students are also looking for some on-job training offers to gain industry experience before joining in permanently. Chintamani wishes all a good luck.! Congratulations, SSC pass outs! It was a celebration time for the SSC students of Navi Mumbai yesterday. As per the buzz, the city tops with a cool 80-something pass per cent. Even the girl to boy ratio here is quite appreciable as compared to the greater city. The sweet shops in the city are also doing brisk business with each one of them jam-packed since the time of the declaration of news. Congratulations! Spectator--another city newspaper but with a difference Now that the colleges have re-opened, the students are back to their usual routine. But the final year BMM (Journalism) students of SIES (Nerul), are breaking away from the routine. They are working on a very interesting project... Chintamani just got the news that their editing prof has asked them to come out with a tabloid-newspaper. The unique thing about this newspaper is that the students would go about the city doing some reporting. Besides, the students would write, edit and also make pages. This newspaper, Spectator (as it is called) that was started by the previous year’s Journalism students will enter into its second season now. So, can Chintamani hope to get some city-inputs from them too?
