Celebration time for Navi Mumbai BMM students
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: June 19: The results for TYBMM were declared by the Mumbai University on the internet on the17th June. The results can be checked online in the Mumbai University website www.mu.ac.in. The overall pass percentage of BMM in Mumbai is 92.3%.
Padmaja Arvind BMM co-coordinator at SIES confirms the results at SIES college,” We have 100% pass result for journalism whereas in advertising the pass result is 89.5%.” While the total number of students for journalism was 8 the total number for advertising was 37 out of which 4 students failed. According to her had the advertising students who failed put in a little more effort they could have cleared the exam. Arvind further adds, “Compared to last year, this year there is an increase in the number of students scoring distinction and first class.” Ask her whether this increase in distinction will increase the competition in BMM and she promptly replies, “This proves that the quality of BMM is improving. But of course the recruitments are going to be tough.” Competition in BMM has been tough and now that the results are out, many are worried that the competition has just got tougher with a majority of the students scoring good marks. “I was very happy when I discovered that I got a distinction but the happiness did not last long as I discovered that half the population of BMM has got a distinction,” says an apprehensive student Sumisha Arora who is a student of Nationals in Bandra and resides at Vashi. Nidhi Anand another BMM student was all excited when she came to know her results, “I am really shocked as I did not expect such good results. I got a distinction.” Lakshmi Subramaniam, SIES (Nerul) student who stood second in the final semester says, “One of papers, ‘Internet and Issues in the Global Media’ had gone really bad as I was not keeping well. I could not concentrate well and thought I would flunk in it. I scored less in the subject yet I’m really excited and happy. It was really unexpected.” Ansy Austin
