I hope CIDCO takes up maintenance of rly stns before monsoons
Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: May 15: You have perfectly caught what the thousands of commuters have in their minds. The special paintings are fading. There are holes in the ceilings which will definitely leak in the rains. The stations have been constructed very well. Now as everywhere, maintenance is neglected I hope Mr. Buddhabhushan Gaikwad would mobilise everything before the monsoon begins.

Respected Sir/Madam,
This is with reference to the above stated subject of "WE BUILD CITIES" the famous adage by Cidco India, (BUT DOES NOT WHITE WASH THEM). It’s a pointer towards all the built (NEW MUMBAI RAILWAY STATIONS)
It’s a long time ago that these stations were built and painted leave alone maintenance of the depleted granite tiles missing. They must have by now faced all the harsh weather and are standing disfigured interiorly. Hence a big hand to Cidco who are instrumental in these modern day mammoth wonders built awesomely. But, will these ever be re-painted? Or at least white washed. In that case Cidco can take a page out of the western railways old stations, which at least have the courtesy to white wash the asbestos sheets to give it a clean look to the out dated stations. Close on heals is a question? Who will foot the bill?
A simple, affordable and user friendly (PLAN) which is as follows:
1) The local trains are marketed for advertisements and so too are the stations, can a clause be added to accommodate (WHITE WASHING CHARGES) at every new contract.
2) Secondly the interior advertisements can be allotted to business houses who wish to maintain and white wash them simultaneously.
3) The sodium lightening too gives a dull get-up to the interiors and a very gloomy look, compared to the white mercury lightings. Hence the white washing will take care of that effect too.
Is the Railway Ministry and Cidco India listening to the humble cries of these silent wonders grievance calls? If implemented only then can we boast and have a clean railway stations interiorly. This can be worked out between the Railways / Cidco's and whom so ever concerned authorities. This will make everything interiorly look serene and cool to the commuters for whom these amenities are provided at a cost.
Please treat this on priority and do the needful to white wash these stations leaving alone maintaining them to give the daily commuters what the badly deserve.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Fabian Edward Misquitta.
